Synopsis

In an increasingly confused world where societies are failing, families are breaking apart, and consumerism and individualism are on the rise, we have forgotten our various roles and purposes and fallen into a life of automation, sparse of intention and reflection. The growing narrative on gender along with the many misconceptions on the topic through the lens of a very narrow understanding Islam has led to more harmful questions than answers. Our conference seeks for us to return to our roots through divine revelation and re-examining resilient women figures in our tradition by exploring them from multitudes of angles and
layers and how these translate into our lives. This is our first step to shaping women with a renewed mindset of mercy, knowledge on practical steps for change and a community as a safe space for continuous encouragement and support.
