Iman 101 is an engaging introduction to the essential beliefs of Islam, exploring WHAT Muslims believe and WHY they believe it. Rooted in classical Sunni theology and enriched with rational arguments, this course offers clarity in a world of confusion equipping both beginners and intermediate learners with the tools to understand and explain their faith.

Drawing from Aqidah al-Awwam and al-Kharidah al-Bahiyyah, this course focuses on the core themes of:

1. Ilahiyat: Belief of Allah

Who is Allah? What are His Attributes? How do we understand the concept of divine oneness (Tawhid) in a world full of distractions and conflicting ideas?

2. Nubuwat: Beliefs about Prophethood

Why did Allah send prophets? what makes a prophet trustworthy? How do the lives and messages of the prophets guide us today?

You deserve to understand the foundation behind every act of faith.

• Understand the foundational beliefs of Islam related to Allah s.w.t and His divine attributes
• Appreciate the rational and textual proofs for belief in Prophets and Prophethood 
• Be able to articulate and defend essential theological beliefs with clarity and confidence
• Strengthen their relationship with Allah s.w.t through sound belief
• Recognise and respond to modern misconceptions and doubts using classical Islamic thought

For 8 weeks, journey with Ustaz Ahmad Ariffin who will guide you through the foundation of your faith.

Ustaz Ahmad Ariffin graduated from Al-Azhar University in Cairo, majoring in Usuluddin (Islamic Theology) with specialisation in Dakwah and Islamic Culture. During his five years at Al-Azhar, he sat at the feel of renowned scholars and absorb traditional knowledge through direct transmission (Talaqqi).

Learning with influential teachers with Shaykh Yosry Gabr, under whom he studied: Islamic Creed & Theology Tasawuff Hadith. He also learned from other notable scholars of Egypt including Shaykh Ahmad El-Azhary. 

Besides that, he also pursued his studies at Markfield Institute of Higher Education, UK for his master in Islamic and pastoral care.
